Hi, have you some idea, how to make "roaming line" with Asterisk? i.e. is possible to have phone line assigned to user if migrating from one office to another? thanks PJ

[Asterisk-Users] phone line "roaming"

One way would be to simply ring the local and the remote extension when a call comes in and wherever you pick it up you take the call. Another, more sophisticated way would be to use the Bluetooth presence module if you have a portable Bluetooth device. Then if you are in the office the Asterisk server will know that you are there through the Bluetooth device in your pocket, so you'll get incoming calls to your ordinary office extension. If you are out of the office, your Bluetooth device can't be seen and so it is safe for Asterisk to assume that you are not in the office anymore. In this event calls will be sent to some other extension in a remote location or to your mobile through a PSTN gateway. Bad luck if your Bluetooth device ran out of power ;-) rgds benjk -- Sunrise Telephone Systems, 9F Shibuya Daikyo Bldg., 1-13-5 Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. NB: Spam filters in place.
