bluetooth audio and asterisk
Has anyone successfully used a standard bluetooth enabled system to connect to a standard bluetooth enabled mobile phone (not the bluetooth to FXS converters) to create an audio path for phone calls with asterisk, if so is there a writeup on what was done so that others can replicate this. What I am thinking is that via alsa/oss/whatever you shou...

Limiting what devices can pair over Bluetooth?
I've managed to get a Wacom Intuos Pro 2 (PTH-660) tablet working over Bluetooth to a CentOS 7 install. Well, I didn't actually have to do much to get it working ... However, we don't normally enable Bluetooth for security reasons, so I need to be able to configure things so Bluetooth can _only_ be used to pair with Wacom tablets As I never used Bluetooth in anger...

Chris, I will take your $100.00 bounty :-D I am using a bluetooth headset with firefly and my laptop right now. Their softphone works well with asterisk. All you have to do is pair the headset to your computer, and set in the options to use the bluetooth. Mine works w...

Bluetooth headset in handsfree modewith SJPhoneor X-lite
Hi, You need to have completely replaced the Microsoft driver, because it doesn't support the headset or ctp Bluetooth profiles. This gave me fits! I followed the instructions at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html and it works with both a Plantronics and a Motorola Headset, and I can answer calls with idefisk, eyebeam, x-lite, and kapanga. If you end up not having both of th...

[PATCH] Bluetooth support.
This is just the first part -- it adds support for correctly reporting incoming connections when there's an external d?mon accepting the connections and invoking 'sshd -i' with them, like inetd does. In later patches I'll extend sshd to listen on a Bluetooth socket (and advertise the service in SDP) for itself, and extend the ssh client to make the connection directly. For now, I'm testing with http://david.woodhou.se/btserv.c and ssh -o 'ProxyCommand socat stdio SOCKET-CONNECT:31:3:x1ec1e4e21f000100' root at bluetooth Index: canohost.c ==...

I've read some USB over IP (or Ethernet) middleware exist but I'm not certain I'm looking at the right direction. Regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachm...

Question for members on using OPUS with Bluetooth
Hi All; This is my first post to the OPUS group but I would like to find out if anyone is using OPUS over Bluetooth? If so, I have some follow-up questions on the implementation strategies that have been used. Is anyone using OPUS over A2DP? Is it possible for off-the-shelf OPUS bluetooth devices manufactured by different companies to be compatible with each other? If so, which A2DP Audio Codec ID is being u...

RE: Bluetooth discussions (quick glance to some BT products)
...w.clipcomm.co.kr/ The clipcomm BS-A101 sample price is : $570. It's VoIP land phone that can make/receive a voice call using your CTP cell phone or BT-enabled headset. Maybe the best system is: http://www1.norwoodsystems.com/ It's complete wireless solution that include hot connection to bluetooth hubs when the employee walks in the office. But it's not currently available. Maybe it'll work better with Bluetooth 1.2 wich will be very soon on the market. Here's a reply I got from norwoodsystems : > Thanks for your enquiry. I attach a product description to help > you underst...

Hi, I've got an application that relies on bluetooth and although the bluetooth can see the device I want to pair with linux doesn't offer any way of doing this but just says that it will try to pair once a service requests this.. the application is windows and I'm starting to suspect that the problem isn't in the bluetooth or linux but s...

GSM phones, bluetooth and general happiness
...;ve moved to Asterisk. I looked at at cell-sockets again recently, but they haven't really gotten any cheaper... And on top of that, I'd now require a precious FXO interface for *. I looked at some developer documentation for my particular phone (S/E T610) while connecting it to my PC via Bluetooth. For those who are unaware, all GSM phones have a built-in set of AT modem commands. Not surprisingly, I was able to place calls as well as receive ring-indicators, caller-id information and call-progress information via the virtual serial port that the phone provides over bluetooth. But what...

no sound with chan_mobile
I am new to Asterisk (1.4.5), and I am trying to get chan_mobile working. My intention is to use it as a cheap GSM gateway. In the dialplan I configured that all mobile numbers should go thru the mobile channel. The current situation is that I can setup the call via the mobile channel (bluetooth), but sound is still thru the bluetooth attached phone's speaker and microphone. I searched internet, but could not find a solution to this problem. My assumption is that both data and voice could be used over bluetooth. In the syslog there is a message that I do not understand. Do not know...

Serial Connection through Bluetooth
I'm on a mac, and I'm trying to get a series of complicated things to work. Yay! I've got an iRobot Create with BAM (Bluetooth Adapter Module), and I'm trying to get RealTerm, which is a serial Terminal, to not only send serial commands from the wine emulation to my real system, but to get those serial commands to be sent over bluetooth to a specific device, and have the input from that device be relayed back to RealTe...

Cannot compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1
The short of it: I am unable to compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1 on CentOS 4.2. I installed using the Asterisk@Home 2.2 iso. Server is a plain Celeron 2.93GHz box. Asterisk source is in /usr/src/asterisk, newest chan_bluetooth source is in /usr/src/asterisk-test/bluetooth/chan_bluetooth (I have two older versions in other directories). Step...
