...pretty new for R, but if I understand it correctly, when R read data by doing something like "d <- read.table("/dev/stdin")", it read entire data first then start processing.. Is there anyway I can tweak R around so that it will start processing as data comes and not load everthing on memory at once? Hi I just tried to move my project to rails 1.2.1 on my locomotive development setup. It seems that backgroundrb is not willing to start up anymore. If I switch locomotive back to 1.1.6, everthing is fine. ...ace the Windows servers in medium term. The Samba server uses Kerberos v5 to authentificate the users against the W2003-Server. The W2003-Server ist the primary domain controller, the other W2K3-server is the "backup domain controller". Samba is a domain member (via server = ADS). Nearly everthing works. But now my problem: The first connect to a samba share needs nearly 20 (!) seconds to be finished (via network places or via network drive - it's the same). Hi We recenlty ugraded to openssh-3.7.1p2. Our architecture is ssh daemon uses pam module which sends request to remote radius/tacacs+ servers based on configuration. Now if I create the user in /etc/passwd, then ssh daemon calls pam and everthing works fine. But if the user is not present in /etc/passwd, then ssh daemon is not calling pam. I have local linux groups and windows groups for allowing ssh access for example. Everthing is in the windows groups, except the special linux user that has local group rights. ...ies". No printers show up when browsing to "server". The printer does install and it will print, however when going to the Ports tab in the printer properties no Samba Printer Port is listed. Also the status of the printer is "Access denied, unable to connect". Of course everthing works just fine when the printers are shared without the alias but I am stubborn fool and want it to work my way!!
