I have searching the forums here on how to get Music On Hold working and I have been able to get * to accept a command for MusicOnHold and for Meetme after loading the ztdummy module. I used the default config for /etc/zaptel.conf since I saw no guidance on this. My problem now is that when I activate MusicOnHold, the sample music file sounds very slow and distorted. My best guess is that it is playing so slow it sounds like Darth Vader breathing. Anybody have any ideas on what is going on?
Hello, I have problems with loading ztdummy module - when I'm trying to load it, I receive a error messages for a unresolved kernel symbols: root@voicelab:~# modprobe ztdummy /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol unlink_td /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol alloc_td /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol delete_desc /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol uhci_devices /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol uhci_interrupt /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol fill_td /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: unresolved symbol insert_td_horizontal /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/ztdummy.o: insmod ztdummy failed I think that my kernel have some important option/feature missing. Is it possible for someone to send me some more info about the kernel config options which have to activate in order to be able to load ztdymmy device. http://www.megaglobal.net:8080/docs/asterisk/html/problems.html#MPG321 app_mp3.c requires mpg123 to stream mp3's over Asterisk channels. If you're running RedHat Linux 7.X you may not have noticed that RedHat sneakily replaced the 'official' mpg123 with their clone 'mpg321'. This cloned version of mpg123 WILL NOT WORK WITH ASTERISK> -----Original Message----- > From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users- > admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Clif Jones > Sent: Wednesday, October 08, 2003 7:16 AM > To: asterisk users > Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Music On Hold distorted > > I have searching the forums here on how to get Music On Hold working > and I have been able to get * to accept a command for MusicOnHold > and for Meetme after loading the ztdummy module. Yesterday I setup music on hold by downloading and installing mpg123 r Now I have music on hold but it sounds terrible - clipping, buzzing, digital distortion, and its too loud (which probably isn't helping) and I'm just running it thru the 'default' line in music onhold.conf line default => quietmp3:/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3, with the default mp3s. This is a 1.0.3 box, running headless (no x desktop) on FC2. On a P4 2.4GHz I have listened to the music on hold from both xlite and a budgetone 102 and it sounds the same from both. Any ideas?
I had similar distortion issues and shutdown problems, I had better results using madplay instead of mpg123 as per the wiki: http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk%20config%20musiconhold.conf Cheers Walt _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar - get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/
