Hi all, I'm new to the list and want to play with VoIP. I'm thinking rather than dropping $$$ for a telephony card I could use NetMeeting/Gnomemeeting to talk to Asterisk. Netmeeting is a complient H.232 client. This would allow me to transfer "calls" to/from my wife and friends on the internet. It could also allow us to receive long distance calls from friends and family. Is it as good as it sounds? Thanx in advance, Mike Diehl.
Yes it is as good as it sounds.. but.. H.323 is not buit into *, its an addon, so if you want an easy setup use MSN messenger 4.6 or 4.7(NOT ver 5+) on your PC's, Messenger uses SIP (instead of H.323) and SIP support is built into * .. Have fun.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike Diehl <mdiehl@dominion.dyndns.org> Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2003 15:54:38 -0700 To: <Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com> Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk w/ Netmeeting?> Hi all, > > I'm new to the list and want to play with VoIP.
