asterisk users - Feb 2003 - Problems with Tones and problems with Switching

Hello you all,


  I have been working with Asterisk now for one week and
  I think I need some help before it starts working properly.

  I have two servers (servers A and B) and they are in the same
  network. In server A I have a 30B+D euro-isdn line to local
  operator and Pleiades P32mxi channel bank for "subscribers"
  In server B I have also Pleiades P32mxi channel bank.
	
  So I have phones in two locations and a E1 trunk to Outside.

  And here are the problems:

	
   I can not get a dial tone when I go off hook with the phones connected
   to the channel bank.
   
   in CLI there is a warning:

   *CLI> ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
   Failed to register zone 'United States / North America': No data
available
   WARNING[6151]: File chan_zap.c, Line 3900 (handle_init_event): Unable to play
dialtone on channel 99
    -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/99-1'
  
   I can make a call to another phone in the same channel bank, but there is a
ringing tone
   on the background during the call. The same tone is there also when a call is
coming from
   the E1 line.


   When I try to call from a phone which is connected to server A:s channel bank
to phone
   which?is connected to server B:s channel bank something goes wrong.

   I have register both servers to another in

   server A:s iax.conf >>  register => usera:passwd at 192.168.1.196


   In server B there is in iax.conf >>  

[usera]
type=friend
auth=plaintext
secret=passwd
host=dynamic
permit=192.168.1.195/255.255.255.0
defaultip=192.168.1.195
callerid="Some Host"


 and in CLI server A there is a message about registration:

 
    -- Registered to '192.168.1.196', who sees us as 192.168.1.195:5036


 and in CLI server B there is a message:


  -- Registered 'usera' (AUTHENTICATED) at 192.168.1.196:5036


  But when I try to call from Server A to phone in server B
  (switch => IAX/usera:passwd at 192.168.1.196/local)


  I Get always following message in CLI:

   -- Calling TBD using options
'exten=TBD;context=local;username=usera;formats=65535;capability=65535;version=1'
WARNING[5126]: File chan_iax.c, Line 4888 (find_cache): Timeout waiting for
usera:passwd at 192.168.1.196/local exten 6121



    If somebody could give me even the direction where to go with these problems
    I would be very grateful.
