Hi, I've found the opinion of R-developers about pie charts under piechart base documentation, "Pie charts are a very bad way of displaying information. The eye is good at judging linear measures and bad at judging relative areas. A bar chart or dot chart is a preferable way of displaying this type of data." What is R's opinion about using barplots vs. using stacked barplots when looking at appropriate data? I would think using a stacked barplot would be looked down upon because one is judging relative areas again as in a piechart instead of linear differences?
