I noted that the config on a AMD64 machine for dom0 defaults to non-SMP and domU defaults to SMP. Is there a recommendation config for dom0 in this situation? I recall reading a message saying SMP dom0 was more stable. PS: I''ve got 7227:c344d6944d2f booting successful on a v20z with dual 248s. PPS: xentop is quite cool. -- Nicholas Lee http://stateless.geek.nz gpg 8072 4F86 EDCD 4FC1 18EF 5BDD 07B0 9597 6D58 D70C _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

[The message you''re probably referring to related to someone that had disabled UP_IOAPIC in their config.] Ian _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

All XenRT and test CD testing is done with -xen kernels. [The -xen0/-xenU are just for developers who are rebuilding things regularly and don''t want to wait for all the modules in the -xen kernel to build.] Ian _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
Hi, I''m pleased to hear people have managed to get this to compile on an AMD64 system. I''ve been trying for some days now. Could someone post their .config''s please so that I can see what they''ve configured and let me know which version of xen they are using including patches etc and I''ll try again. I''m using a Dell 1850, 2x3ghz xeon, 2gb ram, hardware raid 0 if anyone is looking for guinea pig testers! Thanks. I didn''t test this. The default config has EMT64 set instead of x86_64. Couple obviously places to change that. The default config with simply SMP added works out of the box. I suggest if the default config does not work that you have a larger problem. -- Nicholas Lee http://stateless.geek.nz gpg 8072 4F86 EDCD 4FC1 18EF 5BDD 07B0 9597 6D58 D70C _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
