Hi Keir, I just found that save&restore hvm guest will cause dom0 crash w/ r14823 on both 32bit and 64 bit platform. The crash will happen after xm restore, and the console output is: (XEN) ----[ Xen-3.0-unstable x86_32p debug=n Not tainted ]---- (XEN) CPU: 1 (XEN) EIP: e008:[<ff141913>] hvm_do_resume+0x33/0x130 (XEN) EFLAGS: 00010246 CONTEXT: hypervisor (XEN) eax: 00000000 ebx: 00000000 ecx: ff1b0080 edx: 00000000 (XEN) esi: ffbd4080 edi: ffbebfb4 ebp: ffbf4080 esp: ffbebe68 (XEN) cr0: 8005003b cr4: 000026f0 cr3: 3e917000 cr2: 00000020 (XEN) ds: e010 es: e010 fs: 0000 gs: 0000 ss: e010 cs: e008 (XEN) Xen stack trace from esp=ffbebe68: (XEN) ffbd4080 ffbd4080 ffbebfb4 ff1418b0 ffbd4080 00000000 ffbd4080 ff158213 (XEN) ffbd4080 ff1b9080 0000000c 0005fc58 00000096 ffbebfb4 ffbd43c8 ff12e050 (XEN) 0000efff ff1bfe80 ffbe6900 ffbe6900 e0503100 ff1a31e0 ff1befff 0080ffff (XEN) fe800000 ff1a3100 ffbe6080 ff1ed180 ffbf40a4 ff1a4104 00000007 00001000 (XEN) 00001000 ffbebfb4 ffbd4080 ff1219e9 ffbd4080 ffbd4080 0000024c ff114c66 (XEN) 20790be1 0000024c 00000000 ffbf4080 ffbd4080 20790be1 00000000 ff114e7b (XEN) ffbf4080 ffbd4080 0000024c ff1ba080 ffbf4080 0000024c 0000024c 00000000 (XEN) ff1a4020 00000001 2242cf61 0000024c 00000002 ff1a4080 01c9c380 ffbf4080 (XEN) ffbd4080 01c9c380 00000000 ff124f26 ffbebf7c ffbebfb4 ff1ba080 00000001 (XEN) ffbebfb4 ffbf4080 ff1ba080 ff115255 00000001 ffbebfb4 ffbebfb4 ff120953 (XEN) ff1ba080 00000000 00001000 00000002 ccd8bf78 cf907380 cffc7eb4 00000000 (XEN) ccd8bf84 00000000 00f00000 d081a3a8 00000060 00000086 ccd8bf74 00000068 (XEN) 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000001 ffbd4080 (XEN) Xen call trace: (XEN) [<ff141913>] hvm_do_resume+0x33/0x130 (XEN) [<ff1418b0>] hvm_migrate_timers+0x20/0x50 (XEN) [<ff158213>] vmx_do_resume+0xf3/0x150 (XEN) [<ff12e050>] create_grant_host_mapping+0x390/0x770 (XEN) [<ff1219e9>] context_switch+0x109/0x1c0 (XEN) [<ff114c66>] vcpu_periodic_timer_work+0x16/0xa0 (XEN) [<ff114e7b>] schedule+0x18b/0x2a0 (XEN) [<ff124f26>] event_check_interrupt+0x46/0x50 (XEN) [<ff115255>] do_softirq+0x35/0x60 (XEN) [<ff120953>] idle_loop+0x53/0x70 (XEN) (XEN) Pagetable walk from 00000020: (XEN) L3[0x000] = 0000000000000000 ffffffff (XEN) event_channel.c:178:d0 EVTCHNOP failure: domain 0, error -22, line 178 (XEN) (XEN) **************************************** (XEN) Panic on CPU 1: (XEN) FATAL PAGE FAULT (XEN) [error_code=0000] (XEN) Faulting linear address: 00000020 (XEN) **************************************** (XEN) (XEN) Reboot in five seconds...
