We have an opening for a* post-doc researcher* in *Statistical*
*Bioinformatics*
Applicants are expected to pursue independent research in a topic
related to one of the research activities in the group. These include
biological network modelling, genomic data integration, and the analysis
of high dimensional genomic data including microarray, metabolomics and
next generation sequencing data. In general, we are open to the
introduction of new topics into the group, as long as they fit our profile.
*Applicants should have** *a very good PhD, in bioinformatics, computer
science, statistics, biology, physics or a related field , experience in
data analysis/modelling, experience in programming, excellent
presentation and writing skills, and a strong commitment to pursuing a
research career.
The Spang group conducts research in various areas of medicine related
bioinformatics including computational method development as well as
applied bioinformatics in numerous cooperations with biomedical
researchers. It currently consists of 13 full-time researchers
(graduates or postdocs) from six countries. Please also see our recent
publications for an overview of our activities.
The position is paid according to German TV?D-13 and will be filled for
an initial period of *two years* but can be prolonged.
