I have just upgraded to version 3.x of gluster and my filesystems are no syncing up for some reason. If I goto the /usr/local/atmail/users folder on one of the server and save a file it never appears on the other server. I see the following in the logs over and over on each server replacing the IP address with the servers IP address [2010-06-02 13:40:31] N [server-helpers.c:842:server_connection_destroy] server-tcp: destroyed connection of atmail01-3613-2010/06/01-20:08:35:978892-192.168.1.97-1 Anyone have any insight? Here is what I did |1.||% ||mkdir| |-p /usr/||local||/atmail/||users| |2.||% ||mkdir| |/||export| |3.||% ||mkdir| |/||export||/atmail/| Create the volume files using the Gluster volume manager on both machines: |1.||% ||cd| |/etc/glusterfs/| |2.||% glusterfs-volgen --name atmail --raid 1 192.168.1.97:/||export||/atmail 192.168.1.98:/||export||/atmail| | Renamed the files on each server 1.||% ||mv| |192.168.1.97-atmail-||export||.vol glusterfsd.vol| |2.||% ||mv| |192.168.1.98-atmail-||export||.vol glusterfsd.vol (on the second server) | Then, on both machines, rename the atmail-tcp.vol to glusterfs.vol: |1.||% ||mv| |atmail-tcp.vol glusterfs.vol| Start the glusterFS process: |1.||% /etc/init.d/glusterfs start| You can then mount the distributed/replicated volumes by executing the following command: |1.||% glusterfs --volfile-server=192.168.1.97 /usr/||local||/atmail/||users (from 192.168.1.97) | |2.||% glusterfs --volfile-server=192.168.1.97 /usr/||local||/atmail/||users (from 192.168.1.98) | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jamie Orzechowski - CCNA RipNET Ltd.
