Does gluster have any built in functionality to rebalance the disk usage across a set of storage bricks? My current arrangement currently has 8 bricks, with 7 stuck at 100% capacity and 1 having the only free space left in the system. This is undesireable from a performance standpoint obviously. My setup is just a simple unify of the underlying bricks - can gluster be set to move the data around to keep the % usage about the same, or alternatively, has anyone solved this problem with a 3rd party program which they'd vouch as being good at it? - Will -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Gluster-users] Rebalancing storage brick usage
Rebalancing (we call it defrag as of now) will be introduced in 1.5. Till then you will have to manually move the files across nodes. -- Anand Babu Periasamy GPG Key ID: 0x62E15A31 Blog [http://ab.freeshell.org] The GNU Operating System [http://www.gnu.org] Z RESEARCH Inc [http://www.zresearch.com] Will Rouesnel wrote:> Does gluster have any built in functionality to rebalance the disk usage > across a set of storage bricks?
