wine users - Apr 2009 - no ForceFeedback in Wine

Hey Guys,

The ForceFeedback from my Microsoft Sidewinder ForceFeedback Wheel doesn't
work with Wine.

I compiled wine myself and
"ac_cv_member_struct_ff_effect_direction=yes" was set in the
config.log like it is told here:

http://wiki.winehq.org/ForceFeedback

I also checked that FF is working with BZFlag under Linux. When i play BZFlag
with Wine, the FF-Effects are missing.


I installed Debian Lenny Stable on my pc. The kernel is
"2.6.26-2-amd64".


Someone any ideas?

Make sure you have reead/write access to corresponding to your joystick
/dev/input/event device.
Also note some FF doesn't work - there are number of incompatibilities/bugs
all over the place.

after a reboot the read/write settings for js0 and event1 are set back to
standard.. dont know why.. but even with this settings it dont work..

This two files are the only ones which names could fit. 
The second looks like the right file. But i have no idea how to find out which
is the right id

okay, this works now. But i don't have FF yet
