This is a mistake. Analytics by itself does not sell the 7000 series, it''s the integration that does. Analytics could sell a lot of production systems since it finally allows more than two eyeballs to look at dtrace. Fishworks created value by taking a lot of great technology and integrating it. Creating value from the pieces. Pieces of technology created for the 7000 should be given back. Thinking Analytics is the secret sauce to beat the storage competitors is wrong, the secret sauce is Sun itself and the value that has been created was built on a great collection of technologies that where made available so others could build on them. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org

It''s unlikely to change things. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <james.d.carlson at sun.com> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677
