This zfs looks great! I really hope this gets put into solaris soon since I don''t think I could live with Solaris express on a production machine. The easy of adding disk and moving directories looks like a life saver, especially for me who deals with trying to store digital media which piles up a couple of gig a day! This should be available in a ''supported'' form as of Solaris 10 Update 2, which is scheduled for sometime Q2FY06. Sorry that the ''FAQ'' page hasn''t been filled in quite yet... Thanks for the comments, we like it too ;-) - Eric On Wed, Nov 16, 2005 at 10:50:46AM -0800, John-Paul Drawneek wrote:> This zfs looks great! > > I really hope this gets put into solaris soon since I don''t think I could live with Solaris express on a production machine. > > The easy of adding disk and moving directories looks like a life saver, especially for me who deals with trying to store digital media which piles up a couple of gig a day! > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > zfs-discuss mailing list > zfs-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss-- Eric Schrock, Solaris Kernel Development http://blogs.sun.com/eschrock

Whoops... that that should have been ''Q2CY06''. It really is meant to ship before June next year. Nice catch. - Eric On Wed, Nov 16, 2005 at 05:41:10PM -0200, Martin Englund wrote:> Eric Schrock wrote: > >This should be available in a ''supported'' form as of Solaris 10 Update > >2, which is scheduled for sometime Q2FY06.
