Many/most of these are available at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/YYYY/CCC replacing YYYY/CCC with the case numbers below, as in http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2007/171 for the 2nd one below. I''m not sure why the first one (2007/142) isn''t there - I''ll check tomorrow... -John Kent Watsen wrote:> How does one access the PSARC database to lookup the description of > these features? > > Sorry if this has been asked before! - I tried google before posting > this :-[ > > Kent > > > George Wilson wrote: >> ZFS Fans, >> >> Here''s a list of features that we are proposing for Solaris 10u5. If the former why is the number of filesystems/snapshots > an issue in your case ?Yes, it''s the former and I think it''s quite obvious... For one, every mount point consumes kernel memory, even when you ignore how uncomfortable this can be to have thousands of file systems. I do know that such privileges should be given to more or less trusted users, but something can always escape from under control, be it on purpose or by accident. Of course the same kind of control would be nice to zones. -- Pawel Jakub Dawidek http://www.wheel.pl pjd at FreeBSD.org http://www.FreeBSD.org FreeBSD committer Am I Evil? Gzip support will be there but it was not a PSARC case. Once we have committed the content I will publish a complete list of all the CRs that are going into s10u5.
