I think this is misconfig of squid, this problem is not of squid.
# client_netmask 255.255.255.255

Subject: [Shorewall-users] i do not want to masquerade
i have install shorewall v 1.4.1 in RedHat 8.0
using kernel 2.4.18
in my gw(firewall) server, using two interface:
eth0 connected to the LAN behind firewall
and eth1 connected to the net. I''m using squid
as proxy before the net,in another machine.
Lan -- gw(firewall) -- proxy-- net
The problem is, the log on squid only showing IP
Address of gw, not the IP of client behind firewall,
it has been masqueraded.
How can i deactivated masq ?
i have try to delete any entry on masq file,
but it makes the gw reject all packet that came from
behind firewall. We cannot connect to the net.
i also try to add
NAT_ENABLED=No
MANGLE_ENABLED=No
in shorewall.conf, but it doesnt work also.
can you give me some help please ?
