I suspect that a line in your shorewall.conf file contains: 2############################################################ In other words, you have inserted a "2" at the beginning of a comment. If you can''t find the problem in shorewall.conf then: cd /etc/shorewall grep ^2 * That will show you all lines beginning with "2" in /etc/shorewall -Tom PS - I personally consider it rude to repost a question on a mailing list without acknowledging the replies that were sent when you asked the first time. Both David Hollis and I replied to your original post. -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net
