If you move it to some other name, it won't be available. If you delete it, it won't be available. I have no idea how you could be seeing it after you've removed it - it's not possible as far as I can tell. There's nothing special about the 'status.xsl' name. Hi: Make sure the file you are modifying is the one in your webroot. Also, I *think* there's some caching of stats (not sure) so give it a bit of time to work, and also be sure to refresh your browser so that it's not say pulling it out of some cache or proxy.
