I considered this but thought there might be a better way since wouldn't this take up a lot more space? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [ogg-dev] [Vorbis-dev] MT9 Capabilities
> Is this how MT9 does it? I considered this but thought there might be a > better way since wouldn't this take up a lot more space?Technically, I have no idea. It could be possible to encode deltas for similar tracks (same as for doing, eg, stereo recordings), but I'm not sure if you'd get anything better for different instruments as the tracks would be wildly different in the first place. Still, it would be nice to see Vorbis players handling time multiplexed streams, just for the fun of it :)
Hm, well is there a way to label the different tracks in an ogg file right now? That way they could be labeled with "Lead Vocal" "Lead Guitar" etc. I've filed a bug report on launchpad but wasn't sure that i understood it all correctly and worded it right-- please add to it as you see fit https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/259044 On Mon, Aug 18, 2008 at 7:25 AM, ogg.k.ogg.k at googlemail.com < ogg.k.ogg.k at googlemail.com> wrote:> > Is this how MT9 does it?
