I noticed the following “Optional” update for win7.

Addressed issue that prevents pushed-printer connections and printer connections

from trusted servers from being installed in Point and Print scenarios after
installing MS16-087.

Hello Louis,

That link points to the telemetry update for windows 7! While I'm at it 
atleast it mentiosn two sites to whom the data is uploaded so i'll add 
these to my routers hosts file with address 0.0.0.0. :-)

Awesome, Thanks! Confirmed working again after installing KB3192403 on a 
clean Win 7 install.

Note that you need to add (an additional/new) GPO setting :

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Printers
 > "Package Point and print - Approved servers"
-> Set to enabled and add all print servers w. FQDN

Then set again same print servers w. FQDN in "Point and Print 
Restrictions" GPO (this one you should already have).
