G'Day, In my work in Samba support and development for Catalyst, I often get asked by prospective Samba4 users about other similar organisations using our AD DC. The Samba survey reveals that we do indeed have a great number of Samba AD DC users, and I know many of you thought this list, and others as customers, but I always get the sense that I, and the public, never hear about the most interesting places Samba is used. So, if you do have a small, large, boring or unusual Samba4/Samba AD DC installation, I would like to write up a deliberative survey for our wiki - highlighting the kind of organisations that run Samba4, so (for example) schools can see other schools, public sector organisations can see other public sector organisations and companies can see how other sometimes quite large companies are doing. I note with interest that my friends Tranquil IT[1] have some great examples publicly on their website[2], but I wonder if we can do more. I realise that you as administrators are as busy as you are passionate, so I'm thinking to either do this by e-mail, or a chat on the phone (feel free to pick my brain while you are at it), and after confirmation I'll turn the results into a wiki.samba.org page, either with or without organisational names on it. If you are interested, please let me know by e-mail. (While generously supported in my time by Catalyst, I'll do this with my Samba Team hat on, it won't be a sales call unless you want it to be :-) Thanks, Andrew Bartlett [1] Tranquil IT Systems is a Catalyst client.
