This does look a lot like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1503507

I'm afraid I haven't had time to really analyze this bug.  However you
should be able to work around it by setting the backend to direct:

  export LIBGUESTFS_BACKEND=direct

since that doesn't use qemu-bridge-helper.
