I'm getting dmesg flooded with messages like this one: usbdevfs: usb_submit_urb returned -28 What's wrong? I'm using Linux kernel 2.4.32 and nut-2.0.3. The /etc/ups.conf contains [mgeups] driver = newhidups port = auto desc = "MGE UPS" Cheers, Rodrigo -- *** Rodrigo Martins de Matos Ventura <yoda@isr.ist.utl.pt> *** Web page: http://www.isr.ist.utl.pt/~yoda *** Teaching Assistant and PhD Student at ISR: *** Instituto de Sistemas e Robotica, Polo de Lisboa *** Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisboa, PORTUGAL *** PGP fingerprint = 0119 AD13 9EEE 264A 3F10 31D3 89B3 C6C4 60C6 4585
usb_submit_urb() is a kernel function. Error code 28 is ENOSPC, which means "no space left on device", which is a strange error to occur in this context. It does not look like a NUT problem to me. -- Peter Rodrigo Ventura wrote:> > > I'm getting dmesg flooded with messages like this one: > > usbdevfs: usb_submit_urb returned -28 > > What's wrong? Are they plugged into the same external or root hub? -- - Charles Lepple
Hi Rodrigo, 2006/6/9, Rodrigo Ventura <yoda@isr.ist.utl.pt>:> > I'm getting dmesg flooded with messages like this one: > > usbdevfs: usb_submit_urb returned -28This is the first time I see this one! Charles seems to be right in his guess: from 2.6.15 "-ENOSPC if bandwidth request fails."
