Facter 2.3.0 is a backward-compatible features-and-fixes release in the
Facter 2 series.
Included in this release are new or improved fact resolutions for several
operating systems and expanded support for some existing facts.
In addition, several facts now return a more appropriate data type, and
there are several bug fixes.
Notable updates:
- New or improved OS fact support
- We've expanded support for Manjaro Linux and Arista EOS
- Version number reporting has been fixed for Windows 8.1 and Windows
10
- Improved accuracy in fact types
- Several facts are now returned as boolean or integer values instead
of strings
- Virtualization data improvements and bug fixes
- Fix for an IPv6 bug
- Several Solaris bug fixes
- An update to the 'processors' structured fact on OpenBSD
- Silencing some noisy error messages
