Puppet users - Oct 2014 - puppet-server and puppet between the ruby environment is not consistent,whether can normal use?

hello!


I will puppet-server and puppet installed in different ruby environment

Node information for puppet-server and puppet:
----------------------------------
puppet-server  3.6.2    ruby-1.9.3-p547 
puppet         3.6.2    ruby 1.8.7 (2011-12-28 patchlevel 357) 
[x86_64-linux]
-------------------------------------

I do not known if it  reasonable?
