Puppet users - Mar 2014 - Windows: Can't create/update file in user's home directory using template

Hi,

I've created a simple class for creating/updating a file in a user's
home directory on Windows like so:

class put_file ($user = undef, $group = undef) {
  file { 'user_dir':
    path   => "C:/Users/${user}",
    ensure => directory,
    owner  => "${user}",
  }

  file { 'some_file':
    path    => "C:/Users/${user}/somefile",
    ensure  => file,
    content => template('put_file/somefile.erb'),
    owner   => "${user}",
    group   => "${group}",
    mode    => '0666',
    require => File['user_dir'],
  }
}

The home directory exists as the user has been logged in before.
However, when I try to apply this class (via agent), I get the following
error message:

Error: ReplaceFile(C:/Users/the_user/somefile,
C:/Users/the_user/somefile20140303-1756-qjll80):  The system cannot find
the file specified.

Any idea what's going wrong here? Both master and agent are running
Puppet 3.4.2.
