I must say that the sum of rates of child classes is higher than the rate of class 1:1(parent class); My configuration: tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 1: htb default 2 tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 500Kbit prio 1 quantum 2000 tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:2 htb rate 9999Kbit prio 1 quantum 2000 Classes: tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:601 htb rate 1Kbit ceil 500Kbit prio 0 quantum 2000 tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:602 htb rate 64Kbit ceil 500Kbit prio 0 quantum 2000 . . (255 clases total) . tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:6fe htb rate 128Kbit ceil 500Kbit prio 0 quantum 2000 tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:6ff htb rate 1Kbit ceil 500Kbit prio 0 quantum 2000 Filters tc filter add dev eth1 parent 1: prio 1 handle 4: protocol ip u32 divisor 256 tc filter add dev eth1 parent 1: prio 1 protocol ip u32 ht 800:: match ip dst 81.97.105.0/24 hashkey mask 0x000000ff at 16 link 4: tc filter add dev eth1 prio 1 protocol ip u32 ht 4:01 match ip dst 81.97.105.1 flowid 1:601 tc filter add dev eth1 prio 1 protocol ip u32 ht 4:02 match ip dst 81.97.105.2 flowid 1:602 . .(255 filters total) . tc filter add dev eth1 prio 1 protocol ip u32 ht 6:fe match ip dst 81.97.105.254 flowid 1:6fe tc filter add dev eth1 prio 1 protocol ip u32 ht 6:ff match ip dst 8197.105.255 flowid 1:6ff The problem: I have a user with a rate of 64Kbit ceil 64Kbit. His trafic is like this: He touches 64Kbit on a graphic, then he drops down to a few Kbits, and it keeps repeating this. He shouls stay at 64Kbit constantly. This does not heapens all the time. Some times works just good. I want to know if is something wrong with this configuration. I use a similar configuration for upload.
