Dragging across table cells to select -- like google calendar
Hi, we''re working on a Rails based rota application. My initial UI idea was this: available shifts are shown in a table with days as columns and hours as rows, and staff working flexi-time could select some hours to work by clicking and dragging down in a similar way to how an appointment is created in google calendar or Kiko. However, implementing this has turned out to not be that straightforward. The desired behaviour is a little like drag and drop, but it isn''t really. It''s a little like rubber band selecting, but it isn''t that either. I did think that I might be able to use the drag and drop stuff in script.aculo.us, but my attempts so far haven''t been that successful. Has anyone tried doing something like this already, using script.aculo.us? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Spinoffs" group.
