Okay, I''m dumb, mostly from my mind spinning through days of reading
Linux DiffServ at http://www.opalsoft.net/qos/DS.htm.
On to the question:
What exactly is the "MARK" in the tcrules file? Is it using DSMARK to
set the DSCP bit of the packet, is it setting the TOS bit (which I know
is in the same *place* in the packet, but not the same *length*), or is
it setting the packet handle for the queue filter?
I ask because I''m using Netgear FMS726S switches internally, which
support DiffServ marking 0-64, with high priority starting at 32 (all
editable). I''m assuming that I''m going to have to write a
custom
packet-shaping script using dsmark rather than relying on the shorewall
shaping to insure I''m marking the DSCP bits appropriately for my
switches?
