I have a node definition that includes a tomcat::server class. That
tomcat::server class calls a definition to install tomcat.
My node definition then calls another definition to configure tomcat.
And, I''m getting this...
Configuration could not be instantiated: Could not find dependency
Package[apache-tomcat-tfel0-starterkit] for
File[/opt/tomcat/tfel0/starterkit/current/conf/server.xml] at
/etc/puppet/modules/tomcat/manifests/init.pp:117; using cached catalog
The Package[apache-tomcat-tfel0-starterkit] is defined in the
definition that installs tomcat. I have in the definition (called
later), that configures tomcat, this...
File {
# Make sure all files are udated before starting the tomcat service.
before => service["tomcat-${name}-${software}"],
# Make sure that the tomcat instance package is installed and the
# symlink is in place before updating any config files.
require => [ Package["apache-tomcat-${name}-${software}"],
File["/opt/tomcat/${name}/${software}/current"] ]
The last line, the require => Package[] is what puppet is complaining
about. I am doing what appears to be the same thing with jboss, and
it''s not bitching about that. What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks,
Doug
