during the last weeks I was playing around with Windows ACM codecs. These drivers allow the use of audio compression algorithms in Microsoft Windows Apps like Goldwave or the Microsoft Audio Tools (e.g. for streaming). At the moment this code is in a very early stage, only some houskeeping functionality is finished at the moment. But I think it should be possible to implement this thing without any use of Microsoft owned code, only using the published docs (Platform SDK and Win95 DDK). I would like to get some feedback if this such a driver would be of interest for the Ogg Vorbis community and therefore is worth the effort of developing it. If so I shall be pleased to contribute this to the project. best regards, Florian --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/

If so I shall be pleased to contribute this to the project.I would definitely welcome an ACM Driver for it. It would snap in easily into a lot of applications without modifications, and I'd think it would help spread the word.
