I've been having problems with Audiograbber, it got the track breaks all wrong on a couple of CDs. I think it re-used the track breaks from the first CD when reading subsequent CDs. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good CD ripper? I've also tried Exact Audio Copy, but didn't get on with it very well. You can convert audio files directly from the file manager (or explorer, whatever you wanna call it), and also converts from audio CDs. The main download doesnt have vorbis out-of-the-box, but a plugin is available here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-ogg.htm If i recall correctly, the main download only has MP3, WAV, and CD support. You may also want to look to all the formats supported (via downloadable plugins) on this page, http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm, but why would you? ;) Hope this helps! Eric Belanger:>Ive been using dbpowerAMP Music Converter...That looks good. It also has plugins for FLAC and a few other lossless formats. Does anyone have an opinion on what lossless format is the best? I know oggenc can cope with FLAC, which is what I currently use (CD -> Wav -> FLAC -> Ogg) Phil Hibbs Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Aston, UK <p>======================================================This message contains information that may be privileged or confidential and is the property of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Group. >I would recommend cdex ... over dbpowerAMP, but that's a matter ofpreference. I've just tried it - it doesn't have FLAC built in, but seems to code directly to Ogg fairly quickly. I tried dbPowerAMP coding to FLAC, but it takes absolutely ages. I'd much rather rip several CDs directly to Wav, then leave my Wav -> FLAC -> Ogg batch running overnight. This goes for cdex as well, I think trying to rip to a compressed format is not practical. I go via FLAC because for now I want to keep a lossless format, the batch deletes the Wav and keeps the FLAC.
