Check out the video of an OSX style greeter that Filip made. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Filip Wieladek <wattos at gmail.com> Date: 15 September 2012 04:59 Subject: Hey there! To: robert.ancell at gmail.com Hey Robert, Thanks a lot for your hard work on lightdm. Just wanted to let you know that I played around with the webkit greeter and was able to create a login prototype. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Frf3QlZ_gw Thanks, Filip
Speaking of greeters, elementary has a custom one too. They've implemented http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1348152493.png using the WebKit greeter, but had to drop it all because the userpics available to the greeter are way too tiny for this design. So they coded a new one from scratch in GTK and Clutter following DanRabbit's mockup: http://danrabbit.deviantart.com/art/Pantheon-Greeter-298937566 Here's a video of it in action: http://youtu.be/Mz09q6jREMY The vid is a bit outdated but there were no drastic changes since then. The code for both greeters can be found at https://code.launchpad.net/pantheon-greeter -- Sergey "Shnatsel" Davidoff -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
