Good day everyone, I'm working with the Xubuntu team on using LightDM as a lock screen. Currently, we're trying to use `gdmflexiserver` to send us back to the user switcher. However, it always spawns lightdm into tty9 and you can easily return to your session unlocked in tty7. Is there a reliable method to fully lock your computer with lightdm? Thanks, Sean
Hi Sean, LightDM should lock the ConsoleKit session when it is switched away from and then it's up to the session to lock down (e.g. by running GNOME screensaver etc) in case a manual VT switch is performed. Can you attach /var/log/lightdm/lightdm.log after doing the switch? It should have some records of locking the CK session. --Robert On 10 September 2012 22:06, Sean Davis <smd.seandavis at gmail.com> wrote:> Good day everyone, > > I'm working with the Xubuntu team on using LightDM as a lock screen. > Currently, we're trying to use `gdmflexiserver` to send us back to the user > switcher.
