Lustre discuss - Jan 2008 - I had installed Lustre but.....

Hi,

 

I had installed luster-1.5.95 and configured MDS/Client on a Linux
server and OSS on other.

I had mounted them in the order MDS, OSS, Client.

 

When I mount the OSS I get the following message

 

Lustre: lustre-OST0000: received MDS connection from mdsIPaddress at tcp.

 

But the following error messages keep appearing on the screen.

Can someone help me, why is it showing these error messages?

How to validate whether our installation and configuration is correct or
not?

This is a very old beta release.  For your own sanity, I''d strongly
suggest you upgrade to something more recent like 1.6.4.1 before banging
your head any more.

I had cross compiled lustre-1.6.4.1 for ARM.
The following error is coming while trying to format ost.

I checked all the .ko files generated after building lustre but
couldn''t
find ldiskfs.ko.

ldiskfs is in a separate module now.  I''m not sure what the magic is to
build it all though.  Perhaps somebody else can help.
