Lustre discuss - Jan 2008 - update e2fsprogs on clinets?

Does the CFS pactached e2fsprogs need to be installed on the client  
nodes if you never do operations from those nodes other than mounting?

No, not at all.  The Lustre-patched e2fsprogs only needs to be installed
on machines that mount backend (ldiskfs) filesystems, in other words
OSS, MDS, and MGS nodes.

No, the CFS e2fsprogs is only needed on the servers.
