Keith, Are you referring to "srp"? If that''s the case, srp sits at the block device layer should not be noticed by lustre as long as it''s properly importing the blockdevices, assigned to lustre, from the srp-target. I haven''t tried to run lustre over a set of srp block devices but there''s no reason (I know of) that it shouldn''t work. You can run lustre over IB without using srp if that helps.. paul Keith Vickers wrote:>IHAC would like to run Lustre over Direct SCSI I/O on Infiniband. Thanks Paul I am indeed referring to SRP. It''s good to know that SRP isn''t necessarily required. I am using SRP to access the disks from the OSSs and then 10gb ethernet to serve the lustre filesystem. Soon we will be testing a full IB implementation. -- | David Vasil <dmvasil@ornl.gov> | Oak Ridge National Laboratory NCCS Division | High Performance Computing Systems Administrator | Bldg: 5600-A115 Phone: (865)241-5562
IHAC would like to run Lustre over Direct SCSI I/O on Infiniband. I haven''t seen anything that suggests that this is supported? Has anyone implemented such an architecture yet? Is it possible? Many thanks Keith
