No. Lustre is not a shared-block file system. Individual LUNs are never
accessed by more than one node at a time. You could configure Lustre to use
such a SAN, but each metadata and object server would use its own LUN (or
different partitions on a carefully shared LUN).
Client nodes would not interact directly with the SAN, but would instead
speak the Lustre protocol to the servers, via an interconnect like ethernet,
infiniband, or quadrics elan.
