1. emacs/EmacsInstaller.dmg.gz is the Carbon Emacs, latest version from
Savannah CVS.
2. gcc-3.3.tar.gz is the latest version from Darwin CVS of gcc, g77, and
gjc, versions 3.3. Unpack in /usr, installs in /usr/local. This is
experimental and may not always work properly.
3. But it does compile and build R. See R-devel-gcc33.tar.gz, which
is an alternative to R-devel-f2c.tar.gz.
