Core dumps are nearly always ruby problems but can sometimes be
worked around within Puppet. If we can get consistent errors,
especially isolated ones, on a machine that a developer has access
to, then we might be able to fix it.
Have you tried updating ruby? Most ruby versions are pretty stable,
but we''ve definitely had some versions that were not.
