Hi Thanks for the feedback. Ronggui HUANG wrote:> 1, when the document title is Chinese, is cannot be displayed correctly. see pic-1.png. >Does it work if you edit the document title through weft? You should be able to do this by opening ''File -> Properties'' from the document window.> 2,If the document is Chinese, it cann''t be displayed in the mark-mode, see pic-2.png.Could you check that the document you''re importing is saved in UTF-8 format please? cheers alex

It is. Otherwise, I can''t import any document. What''s more, when I import a file with content "aaa", I can see all of them in the edit mode and only "a" in the mark mode.> > cheers > alex > _______________________________________________ > weft-qda-users mailing list > weft-qda-users at rubyforge.org > http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/weft-qda-users
Hello Ronggui Ronggui HUANG wrote:> 1, when the document title is Chinese, is cannot be displayed correctly. see pic-1.png. > > 2,If the document is Chinese, it cann''t be displayed in the mark-mode, see pic-2.png.Just to let you know that this should now be resolved for the next release, coming up in the next few weeks. Thanks again for the report. alex
Hi! I am a bit curious about how things are moving with weft.... the next version seem not be availble yet (I am in for another round of serious coding in the next few monthts). Any news? Help needed from a non-coding social scientist? Best, Magnus Larsson Copenhagen Business School

Any news? Help needed from a > non-coding social scientist?I''m afraid not so much news as same as before. I have time only sporadically to work on the software. It''s not abandoned, but I''m also not able to be very sure when and if I could complete the 2.0. The main problem is that my own time is scarcer now than when I first wrote the software, whilst my need is less in my own research. I have been considering some sort of semi-commercial (though still open source) model as a way to complete and support Weft QDA as a low-cost qualitative package, and I''m curious as to what current and potential users think. alex
It is sorry to hear such news. The best is to keep it free and developed. Considering the resources constraint, I think it would be great if any user could join the development team. Semi-commercial is a sub-optimal option, it is better than abandonment. Weft QDA 2.0 looks promising. Of course, whether this commercialization works depends on if the users are willing to pay for it, thought it is low cost.
