Do you have the Redhat's default firewall running? If so it is blocking
ports 137-139 which Samba needs to communicate with other pc's on the
network.

Samba server on Linux 9.0, Win2K Pro client
Can ping the Linux box by its IP address and name, can see the linux
machine name on Network Places,
But when I double-click on the machine name, after few seconds comes up
with the error message: "Network Path not found". Any ideas?
