samba - Jul 2003 - ERROR: Could not determine network interfaces, you must use a interfaces config line

Hi.

I've the fallowing problem:

When I try to start samba it fails. The only error message is in the logs:

nmbd/nmbd.c: (795)
Netbios nameserver version 2.2.8a started.
lib/interface.c:(198)
ERROR: Could not determine network interfaces, you must use a interfaces
config line

Samba creates the nmbd.pid file but dosen't delete it.
It dos not creates the smbd.pid file.

I've downloaded samba 2.2.8a source code and compiled and installed in
Unixware 2.1.
