Forgive if the answer already exists in documentation or other threads. I would like to use SWAT to allow users to change their samba passwords on their own but having a problem. SWAT works fine when adding or changing passwords in the smbpasswd file as root but generates an error when normal users authenticate and attempt to change their password. The error generated is: machine 127.0.0.1 rejected the session setup. Error was : ERRSRV - ERRbadpw (Bad password - name/password pair in a Tree Connect or Session Setup are invalid.). Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !
