samba - Mar 2002 - help regarding samba

hello ,



iam trying to instal samba on my linux machine but i have problem configuraing
the smb.conf file .i couldnot open http://131.94.163.238:901.i tried to do it
manually by creating a smb.conf file them when i say mkdir /export/samba/test it
says cannot create dir as no such dir exists.

in the log.smbd file the following messg appears.
bind failed on port 139 socket_addr=0.0.0.0
error=address already in use.

how should i solve this problem.

I have no idea about your first paragraph but:
The socket already in use may mean that inetd is running samba.
