Dear all, Got a problem that turns me around. I'm quite new to samba. Yesterday when i tried the wbinfo -u/-g and other options worked without any worry. Also there was no error in the UNIX passwd program where i even changed the root password. This morning onwards i'm facing with problems where the wbinfo says there is an error looking up the domain for users and groups -h -i works fine. For users to be authenticated via PDC have i got to set the PAMs. I don't want NT users to either telnet, ftp or console login to my SUN server. Your help is greatly appreciated!! Regards!
Hi, wbinfo -u allows me get all the domain users, but wbinfo -g gives me "Error looking up domain groups" Both worked the first time. Why? Regards, Norman

Hi guys, having heaps of probs with this box and getting winbind to work for me. I have a linux redhat 8.0 running on it. I just downloaded the 2.2.7a-1 rpm and installed all ok . I setup the winbind stuff, (from website) also same from working copy on another linux redhat 8 machine. When I run the wbinfo -u or wbinfo -g I get the following response [root@syd-watcher root]# wbinfo -u 0xc0000022 Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks, Pete
Try wbinfo -t. If it gives bad secret. Rejoin domain again then it should work.
