[Samba] Problem with Windows XP not seeing home directories
Hi, We have Samba 2.2.2 running on Solaris 8 and Windows XP 5.1.2600 build 2600. An encrypted smbpasswd file has been setup and user names/uids copied across from NIS into the encrypted password file. User filestore is mounted by NFS from a central NFS server and made available from this samba server (cs-enterprise). NIS is normally used to authenticate users to the server and users can login and access their filestore without problems. Users can login to the domain successfully and can mount samba shares. They can view the correct home directory but do not have write permissions. Can anyone suggest a solution. Sorry if this is a FAQ. Many thanks in advance, smb.conf file below.
