Hi all, There seems to be a conflict in the online documentation as to the 'security =' level and the 'add user script'. http://ie.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.html#AEN1146 says that you have to have 'security = user' in order to have Samba behave as a PDC. Further on :- http://ie.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.html#AEN1231 it says you can use the 'add user script' to have Samba automatically create the UNIX user accounts for machine trust accounts. (Samba automatically creates the smbpasswd machine trust account, although I can't find this behaviour documented anywhere) Anyway, the smb.conf(5) man page:- http://ie.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#ADDUSERSCRIPT says that 'add user script' only works in 'domain' or 'server' security mode. So which is it? Does 'add user script' work in 'security = user'?
