Samba is reporting incorrect cluster sizes, which results in some incompatibilities with Windows programs. Some programs refuse to install or use samba shares because the cluster size is not supported for NTFS partitions (I think only 4K, 8K, 16K, 32K, 64K sizes are valid). This problem can easily be seen when checking the properties of a folder from the Windows client. One of my folders contains about 18 GB and Windows reports the "Size on disk" as 164 GB! Obviously this is incorrect, especially considering that my hard drive is only 75 GB. I'm using Samba 2.2.3a and EXT3 file systems. -Paul
